St. John 8:36(NIV)

36. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

True freedom occurs when we give up our attempts to justify ourselves and begin leaning on the fact that God’s mercy is big enough to redeem the bad things we’ve done and the bad things that have been done to us.

God is aware of everything that has happened and is happening in your life and He loves you enough to forgive you and deliver you from all that holds you captive. Every sin, every heart-ache, every failure, every wrong… He forgives and delivers you from it. God delivers from guilt and shame … He frees us from what folk say and think about us.

God even frees us from what we think of ourselves. In other words, even if there is some horrible event in your past that makes you think less of yourself; God’s love and forgiveness will free you from it and give you a proper view of who you are now in Him.

The awesome love and forgiveness of Jesus really do set captives free. No matter what your prison bars are, they cannot withstand the power of Jesus’ love.

And I don’t know about you but I am going to walk out the rest of my journey without one bit of concern about what others think of me as long as I know that Jesus is smiling.

C’mon now, put some pep in your step today! The Son has set you free and you are free indeed!!!

God bless you is my prayer!!!
