Matthew 6:25 (NIV)

25. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

At times all we need a lot of help, and especially in the area of living the worry-free life. It sounds nearly impossible, and while we may not attain perfection, I do believe that we can go a long way towards reducing the amount of worry that we carry around.

Because of the ill effect worry will have on our lives, Jesus tells us to “do not worry” about those needs that God has already promised to supply.

Ill effects of worry:
1. damage to your health, causes the object of your worry to consume your every thought, 2. disrupts your productivity, 3. negatively affects the way you treat others and, 4. reduced your ability to trust God.

And I want to emphasize that worry is one of the Devils greatest weapons. It will steal your joy, steal your contentment, steal your happiness. And we become so wrapped up in worry about tomorrow, worry about yesterday, that we never find peace today.

Trusting God doesn’t mean we are lazy and indifferent, but it does mean we come to the point that we can know that God will provide what I really need. Put your trust in God and know that all things will work together for the good of those that love Him.

Be blessed in all you do!!
