Ecclesiastes 2:11 (KJV)

11. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.

In the book of Ecclesiastes 2, King Solomon talks of chasing after things that could not bring him satisfaction. Not chasing pleasure, laughter, wine, wisdom, houses, gardens, money, possessions, and music.

Just as Solomon in all his attempts realized that finding life’s meaning of happiness was as if you are chasing after wind. We feel the wind as it passes, but we can’t catch hold of it or keep it.

In all our accomplishments, even the big ones, our good feelings are only temporary. Security and self-worth will not be found in your accomplishments, but only in the Love of God.

Be blessed in all you do!!
