Read 1 Cor. 10:23-11:1

1 Corinthians 11:1 (NIV)

1. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

Paul invites others to copy his example, he concluded his discussion from the earlier chapter, chapter 10, about the Corinthians loving others enough to limit their freedom. How important it is that we not offend nonbelievers, but at the same time not to let our actions cause a believer to question their actions. Note: we are to limit our freedom for the good of the “weaker” believer (chp. 10:28).

Paul encourages the people to follow his example in this matter, in the same way he followed Christ’s example. Paul did not seek his own good, but the good of others by imitating Jesus’ example of love, unity, acceptance, and sacrifice.

Live a life worth imitating by imitating Christ.

Be blessed in all you do!!
