Psalm 63: 1-3 (NIV)

1. You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
2. I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3. Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

Followers of Christ have been launched into a trajectory that is defined by drawing closer and closer to Him. But in the process, we are often distracted and succumb to the pull of lesser, alluring things. When this happens we find that we stop seeking Him and seek things that in the end leave us empty and unsatisfying.

Psalm 63 is the cure for lives that have become off track in seeking the wrong desires. God alone can satisfy our inner longings because His “lovingkindness is better than life”(v.3).

The true joy and purpose come not in admiring God from a safe distance, but from chasing hard after Him.

The closer you walk with God, the less room for anything to come between.

Be blessed in all you do!!
