Luke 11:1-4 (KJV)

Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer

1. And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3. Give us day by day our daily bread.
4. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Important instructions: Your order of prayer
1. Acknowledgement and praise to God
2. Recognize your prayer is a privilege/benefit
3. Make your requests known

Acknowledging God as our father, offering Him praise, puts you in the right frame of mind to tell Him of your prayer requests or needs. But in doing so, remember we worship an all knowing God and He knows just what our needs and desires are.

Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross allows you the opportunity to go to God in prayer for yourself, allowing you unlimited access to the Father.

Matthew 6:33King James Version (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Be blessed in all you do!!
