1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)

15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

In pursuit of abundant life thru Christianity, we face obstacles. One being the flesh within you, another is the world around you.

The world around you is culturally opposed to the Jesus in you. The world’s values will not align with your values as followers of Christ, for the ways of Jesus is counter-culture, thus as you live your life through faith, you will likely be a minority.

God called you to be an influence to the existing culture as opposed to allowing the culture to influence you. God’s abundant life will not be found on the broad road that leads to destruction, but on the narrow road you shall find it.

Look at the environments, situations, and circumstances God has placed you in order to be an influence for His glory. Ask yourself are you overcoming the obstacles and seizing the opportunities to make Jesus known..

Be blessed in all you do!!
