Psalm 29:11(NIV)

The LORD gives strength to His people;
the LORD blesses His people with peace.

Isaiah 9:6(NIV)

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,Prince of Peace.

The Prince Of Peace

Christmas is a time of frustration and anxiety for many of us. We tend to think that if we had enough money or the right connections, the holidays would be much easier. During the Christmas season, many look to wealth, and possessions as the way to inner peace. They think that if they could just have that latest gadget, they would be happy. If they could only buy their loved ones those special gifts, they could maintain peace in their homes… You know the saying; “if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” However, it never works because possessions can’t ever give us worth, restore broken relationships or create peace in our lives.
As Christmas approaches, Jesus shows us the way to have genuine peace in the midst of the chaos of the holidays and in your everyday life. He told His disciples,

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” — John 14:27

Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the peace that Jesus gives is not based on circumstances; rather, it is a supernatural gift that we are blessed with when we walk with Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus has made His peace available to all of us who believe in Him.
So Beloved, this Christmas, instead of stressing about presents you must purchase, people you must please, and parties you must plan, think of the One you need most: focus on the Prince of Peace.

Surrender yourself to the loving care of Jesus Christ, by faith. Rest in His ability to help you. Let the Lord Jesus give you peace which passes all understanding this Christmas season. Only then will you be able to experience the rest, gladness, and hope that He was born to create for you to enjoy.

God bless you is my prayer!
