Hebrews 10:24 - 25(KJV)

24. “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”

25. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Beloved, no Christian has ever been called to “go solo” in his or her faith. We need one another. The church was designed from the beginning to function as the living body of Christ on the earth after the Lord’s resurrection and ascension.

Jesus intended that we be in regular fellowship with other believers. Part of the reason for that is so that we might receive the benefit of their spiritual gifts and, in turn, give our spiritual gifts to the body of Christ. We are made stronger as we both receive and give. At the same time, the church to which we belong is made stronger and more effective as a whole.

Beloved, I exhort and challenge you to get involved with other believers in your church and in the Body of Christ as a whole and to serve those both within and without the Church.

God bless you is my prayer!

Dr. J. M. Wooten
