1 John 4:9 - 10 (NASB)

9. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

10. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

We are attracted to Christianity because it teaches us that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus into the world to pay the penalty for our sins. God knew that the human race had become exceeding sinful and worthy of death. Yet God loved us and He proved that He loved us by sending Jesus to receive the punishment for our sins.

What an amazing love! And the really good thing about God’s love is that His love goes beyond forgiving us for sin before we were converted. God’s loves us with an everlasting love; He loves us enough to forgive our mistakes, blunders, error, failures … or rather our sins even after we are converted.

God’s love does not stop. He knew that we needed Him then and He knows that we still need Him now!

Beloved, even at our best we still fall short of the glory of God. But be encouraged! God still loves you enough to forgive you and use your mistakes to develop you into the best believer that you can be.

God bless you is my prayer!
