Hebrews 11:1- 40, (KJV) v. 39 – 40

39. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40. God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Humans make mistakes. Humans are not perfect. That’s just a statement of fact. All of us have shortcomings and we all fail sometimes. However, if we place too much attention on our missed failures, we can become ineffective and depressed.

Our journey is by faith. We live by faith. We trust in God to direct us as He will. And in spite of our shortcomings, God can use each of us to build His kingdom.

Beloved, instead of placing too much focus on your failures, focus on the graciousness of a loving God. Too often we read Hebrews ch. 11 and glorify those great heroes of faith and believe that our ability to serve God is less than those great men and women of the Bible. However, we should remember that the same God who equipped those “heroes” is our heavenly Father, and He has equipped each one of us with special gifts and talents to do His will just as He equipped those “heroes”. Remember, those “heroes had faith in God… they believed God for the miraculous and that what made the difference in their lives. It will also make the difference in yours.

God wants us to have enough faith to utilize the gifts that He gave us rather than be overly critical of our failures. Didn’t God use the “heroes” in spite of their imperfections?

If we exercise faith in Him, and if we truly want to be used by God, He will use us in spite of who we are, where we’ve been, or what we look like.

Get busy beloved. You’ve got work to do!

God bless you is my prayer!
