Psalm 145:18; James 4:8(KJV)

“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.” – Ps. 145:18

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded”. – James 4:8

When you go to God in prayer, does you feel that you can only have a polite conversation with Him? I mean, do you feel like you can’t bring your real mess, your real emotions, your real questions and real doubts to God openly, truthfully or in all sincerity? Well, you can. And you need to.

The God you serve is just waiting to hear your authentic heart. Consider this beloved, there is nothing hid from God anyway. David said in Psalm 139:1 “O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me”.

God already knows what you are thinking, feeling and dealing with. He knows your hurts, fears and doubts and He is calling you to be open and real with Him. Only then will you feel just how near He is to you. Only then will you begin to understand “what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God”. – Ephesians 3:18 – 19

Take that risk today, beloved. Fall at the feet of Jesus, tell Him the whole truth about what you’re thinking and feeling, and then let His love and care for you, draw you into a deeper relationship with Him.

God bless you is my prayer!
