Genesis 24:50(NIV)

50. Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “This is from the Lord; we can say nothing to you one way or the other.”

There is no greater remedy for all the negativity that we face today than to fix our eyes on what God is still doing in our life and in our time.

Beloved, stay focused on what God is doing!

Laban and Bethuel must have had that kind of God-focus when Abraham’s servant suddenly walked up to them and suggested that Bethuel’s daughter, Rebekah, was just right for Abraham’s son, Isaac. I wonder what I would have said if it was me and my daughter was the girl that the servant was referring to! But Laban and Bethuel had learned to look for God. Immediately they said, “This is from the Lord.”

Clearly, in times like these we must think differently than our associates of the world. Men and women of Christ must look first for the influence of God in a matter.

The reward for risks taken for the will of God in your life is always in your favor when what you stand to gain is more than what you can lose, particularly when what you have to go through to gain it is extreme.

God bless you is my prayer!

Dr. J. M. Wooten
