Deuteronomy 29:29(KJV)

29. The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Thank God for unanswered prayers!

We may not understnd why God doesn’t answer a prayer and it may hurt when He doesn’t, but we have to trust God in spite of our confusion and pain.

Our heavenly Father is much too wise and loves us much too much to give us everything we ask for.

I can remember asking God for a particular job. I was relentless as I bombarded heaven with my prayer but the more I prayed the more frustrated I got because God did not answer me or open that door for me. And no matter how many applications I submitted to different companies for that particular job, somebody else always seemed to get the job.To make matters worse, I was unemployed for the first time in my life, the bills were mounting up and our family life was getting more stressful every day as my family had to endure my frustration at not being able to provide for my family.

Finally, when I was at the end of my rope and willing to do anything to provide for my family, my brother, whom I rarely saw at that time, came around and out of the blue suggested that I apply for a job where he worked. To make a long story shorter I did apply for a job there, got the job and it turned out to be the most rewarding secular job that I ever had.The interesting thing though, is my brother didn’t even know I was unemployed. But God did. And God knew what job would be the most rewarding for me. And, God knew the plans that He had for me; plans of good and not evil. God knew what He was doing! I shutter to think of all I would have had to endure and all I would have missed if God had given me what I asked for. God is Good! And He knows what He is doing!

So Beloved, thank God for the prayers He didn’t answer as much or even more as you thank Him for the ones He did answer. Your frustration will turn to celebration if you tust God enough to patiently and persistently pray your way through. It may not make sense for a few weeks, a few months or even a few years. In fact, it may never make sense on this side of eternity.

But you can believe this about unanswered prayer:

Sometimes God gets in the way because He has a better way!

God bless you is my prayer!
