Psalm 51:1 - 3 (NASB)

1. Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.

2. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

3. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

Revival begins with you!

True revival can only begin in you when you recognize your need for revival and go humbly before God, acknowledging your sin and seeking His forgiveness.

Notice in this verse that David did not attempt to blame anyone for what he knew he did; he didn’t offer excuses, he pleaded no extenuating circumstances, but simply accepted full responsibility for his deeds. David said “my transgressions”, “my iniquity” and “my sin”.

Another thing to note is the basis upon which David pleaded for forgiveness. It was not because he thought he deserved it, but because of (1) God's lovingkindness; and (2) the multitude of God's tender mercies.

We never deserve His grace or His mercy but God loves us so much that He wants to work repentance in us. God actually wants you to come to Him for forgiveness so that He can grant it to you! Wow!!!

That’s a good place for a shout!

God bless you is my prayer!!!
