Matthew 15:13(NIV)

13. He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.”

What a strong statement Jesus is making in this verse!

What He means in that verse is, unless God is our Farmer, nothing that we plant will ever bear fruit. So isn’t it strange, that most of the time, we go straight to the planting without any thought to seeking God, then we ask God to bless our work with good fruit? Sadly beloved, Jesus has already told us that the Father will not allow those plants to flourish; He will pull them up by the roots.

The point is we should not waste our time and energy trying to complete plans, meet standards, control progress or make deadlines unless we know that we are on assignment given by God.

God has given you the talents and skills to plant and water, but all for His purposes and to His glory. Without Him, there will be no growth and no success.

However, when we seek God for His plans and His direction we are assured of ultimate success.

Seek God before you get started and you can be sure that in the end He will be glorified in what you do!

God bless you is my prayer!!!

Maybe that's why the Scripture admonishes us to acknowledge God in all of our ways. What do you think Higher Calling? - jmw
